- Utilizing
the local Precinct Council and its relationship: Respective precinct
to resolve
youthful non-violent infractions , in doing so , we can avoid
giving young people a criminal record

REDUCTION OF THE HIGH UNEMPLOYMENT OF YOUNG AFRICAN AMERICAN MAN
& WOMAN
- Implementation
of more schools that offer skills training in building construction
and related industries. The expansion of the “Lincoln Technical
Institute” model to be part of the overall vocational educational
program at the high school level

MEDICAL CARE: THE MOBILE DECENTRALIZATION OF THE DELIVERY OF HEALTHCARE
SERVICE
- Start a more
culturally approach to the delivery of healthcarre
- Use mobile
system to deliver more services. The screening & treatment
for high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and cancer. This will
greatly improve life expectancy among our senior citizens.
- Access to
Medical care: According to NYC Department of Health & Mental
Hygiene in its report comparing Flatbush to 42 other New York
neighborhoods the residents of Flatbush have poor access to medical
care:
a.
“29,000 people report no current healthcare coverage”
b. “23,000
Flatbush residents did not get needed medical care
c. “49,000
Flatbush residents do not have a personal doctor
d. Maternal &
child health “below average”
e. Infectious diseases:
High rate of pneumonia, influenza, HIV/AIDS
f. Premature Death:
More than 25,000 people died before the age of 75.
g. Higher death
rate from: Heart disease , stroke, cancer, violence ( including
homicide ....and accidents)
h. Highest number
of Babies born with low birth weights
i. Highest number
of pregnant women receiving little or no prenatal care
- The report
concluded that Flatbush residents are the most vulnerable population
in New York City. This manifest itself in the vast number of children
drop-out from high school , high levels of poverty , and the lack
of safety in the neighborhood
