Handwriting Samples of Bruce Davis |
Bruce
Davis has used several different handwriting styles. For some
examples the following are given. In correspondence from prison
over a three year period to a person named Chris, here is how he
hand-wrote that name (in comparative sizes) on the envelopes:
11.08.88 12.23.88
02.10.89 |
06.16.89
07.11.89 |
07.17.89
01.11.90 |
12.30.91 |
Note
that none of the "i"s in "Chris" are dotted as
is found in some of Zodiac's "i"s.
------------------- |
Now
compare the "R"s from the following Zodiac envelopes: |
07.31.69
11.09.69 03.13.71
03.13.71 |
Compare
those to the following:
1966
"Confession" envelope 1967
Joseph Bates envelope 06.16.89
envelope from Davis |
And
the "R"s from the above "Chris"s:
11.08.88
02.10.89
07.17.89
01.11.90
12.30.91 |
------------------- |
Here
is some more lettering from the addresses (again in comparative
sizes) on those same envelopes from Bruce Davis: |
11.08.88
12.23.88 |
02.10.89
06.16.89 |
07.11.89 |
07.17.89 |
01.11.90 |
12.30.91 |
Here
are some examples of how Davis can write the numeral
"9". |

Not
only over periods of time will Davis' handwriting style change, it
even can instantaneously. From the letter postmarked
12.23.88, note the capital "A" and the numeral
"8" where they change on a single line.
Incidentally, this was written on lined, three-hole punched
notebook paper. |
That
second "8" suspiciously tails off like the one written
on the KHJ-TV envelope and like the following one on the 07.11.89
envelope. |
Here
is Davis' signature from the return address on the 07.11.89
envelope. |
The
middle initial "M" and the following one from the same
envelope are reminiscent of the envelope of the 1974 Christmas
card sent to Donna Lass' sister. |
